Hélène Béland

A native of Montreal, her artistic talents were noticed at an early age and Hélène Béland naturally turned towards this field, obtaining her Bachelors degree in fine art. In 1979, she decided to go deeper into her studies and went to the Mission Renaissance School of design and painting in Los Angeles.

She then followed courses with Larry Gluck and excelled in the teaching of her art. She uses charcoal, pastel, oil, red hematite and sculpture for her means of expression. She frequently holds group exhibits in different galleries in Montreal, especially the Michel-Ange gallery. She is founder and co-director of the Mission Renaissance School in Montreal. Her work is found at Notre Dame Hospital and at the Salon Lucien Lacoste.
